Attention Pipers Ridge residents:
You are invited to join us on
January 26, 2010
at 6:30 p.m. in the Conover Police Department’s training room for the first official
meeting of the Pipers Ridge Community Watch program.
Neighborhood Watch is one of
the oldest and best-known crime prevention concepts in America. Every day, we encounter
situations calling upon us to be the eyes and ears of law enforcement. A Neighborhood
Watch is a group of neighbors who are willing to communicate with each other and
pass along information to each other and law enforcement when needed. The group
will be educated in crime prevention and will watch for suspicious activity and
report this activity to the police. Neighborhood Watch does not require citizen
patrols.
Not only does the Neighborhood Watch Program allow citizens to help in
the fight against crime, it is also an opportunity for neighbors to get to know
each other and create a stronger neighborhood.
Our Conover Police Department encourages,
supports, and assists with local community watch programs. They have graciously
offered to let us use their new facilities downtown for our community watch meetings,
and also for our homeowner association meetings. For more information on Conover’s
other community watch areas, visit
www.ConoverNC.gov.
Pipers Ridge is a peaceful, crime-free community – let’s take steps to keep it that
way as Conover continues to grow.
